How many books and other items can I borrow and for how long?

Checkout Period:

• Books and CDs: 28 days, one renewal
• Non-book items (e.g., DVDs, etc.): 7 days, one renewal
• Reserve materials: for 2 hour, library use only.
• Chromebooks: for 4 hour, library use only
• Newspapers, Journals, and Magazines are for library use only.

Loan limits:

• Students: Limit 20 items / unlimited holds / 5 non-book items
• Faculty/Staff: Limit 20 items /unlimited holds /unlimited non-book items
• Alumni: Limit 10 items / 5 holds / 3 non-book items
• Community Borrowers: Limit 5 items / 5 holds / 3 non-book items

Renewals:

• Use My Account to renew most items and to check for due dates. If you have already renewed an item one time or if somebody else has put the item on hold, you will not be able to renew it.
