Do I need a library card to check out books?

Students, Faculty & Staff: to check out a book, you will need a government-issued photo ID or a student ID (print your student ID). ​If you plan to visit one of the other MCCCD Libraries, please call ahead to make sure they have the item you wish to borrow and to confirm the identification you will need.

Community Borrowers: You must be over 18 years of age, a resident of Maricopa County, and not currently attending a Maricopa Community College. Community borrowers are required to “quick register” with Student Services in order to obtain an MEID. Present your MEID and a government-issued photo ID at the Rio Library Circulation desk to check out materials.
